The amended Women’s Reservation Bill is likely to become law in the coming budget session.The bill, providing 33 per cent quota for women in elected bodies, will be placed before the Union Cabinet shortly, following which it would be reintroduced in Parliament.Union Law Minister M Veerappa Moily told reporters here on Tuesday that the cabinet note in this regard is being circulated now. The bill was first introduced in the Rajya Sabha in the last term of the UPA government. The bill was studied by the Parliamentary standing committee which made certain recommendations.
