Finland's National Action Plan for 2012-2016: Women, Peace and Security

Finland issued its first National Action Plan for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security in 2008. The Action Plan has
been an important instrument in efforts to increase interest in the status of women and in women’s participation in issues related to peace and security, both nationally and internationally.

In order to intensify the implementation of the Resolution, Finland has prepared a new results-oriented Action Plan for the period 2012–2016.
