Fifteen years after the adoption of the UN Security Council Resolution 1325, this briefing calls the United Nations and its Member states to use a formal review of the Women, Peace and Security agenda as a way to address major gaps. According to this briefing, international commitment should put emphasis on women’s participation, preventing conflict and gender-based violence, implementation, and financing.
