GAPS report: Assessing UK Government Action on Women, Peace and Security in 2015

GAPS (Gender Action for Peace and Security) published a shadow report following as a response to the UK government’s annual Report to Parliament published in December 2015 and which lays out the progress of the country’s National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security (UK NAP). The shadow report draws on the expertise of GAPS member organizations, as well as the inputs of civil society in conflict-affected countries through a survey of women’s rights organizations in the six focus countries of the UK NAP: Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Libya, Myanmar, Somalia and Syria. The report concludes with a set of recommendations to the UK Government on Women, Peace and Security in 2016.
