Lofa County district #4 Representative Hon. Mariamu B. Fofana has frown on the creation of women's wing in political parties in the country. Representative Fofana said putting women on the wing side of political parties deprives them of actively participating in the decision making of the party they belong to.

Addressing a section of stakeholders on Wednesday November 27, 2013 at the headquarters of the National Elections Commission, when a new analysis on women political participation and integration of a gender perspective in the 2011 elections was launched, the Lofa county lawmaker described as discriminative the establishment of women wing in political parties while men wing don't exist.
