This report examines the political system in Jordan; identifies the obstacles and challenges facing women’s political empowerment; and determines the degree of prejudice in Jordanian society towards women's political empowerment. It covers three major topics: women and international instruments of human rights; Jordan's position with respect to these instruments; and the impact of these instruments on women's legal status.
