Information and Communications Technology: The Gender Dimension

This report discusses the barriers to women’s access to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). It points out that women are underrepresented among ICT users, and that they are nearly absent as substantive producers of technology or content. It offers suggestions for increasing women's access to ICT and briefly details UNDP efforts to increase opportunities for women in the ICT field.
