Constitution Building Processes and Democratization
This study focuses on the activity of revising constitutions which reflects a changed perception of their importance and purposes. Changes start with constitution-making, whether as a form of negotiation or the consolidation of social victory or reform. However, the record of the effectiveness of these constitutions is uneven.
National Women’s Council of Ireland (NWCI)
The National Women’s Council of Ireland (NWCI) is the national representative organization for women and women’s groups in Ireland. Its purpose is to achieve women’s equality in a society where women and men can participate effectively as citizens in all aspects of social, cultural, economic and political life.
Centre for Advancement of Women in Politics
The Centre for Advancement of Women in Politics (CAWP) is based in the School of Politics, International Studies and Philosophy in Queen's University Belfast. It aims to foster an appreciation of women's contribution to politics, government and public decision-making in the UK and Ireland.
