South Africa: Dlamini-Zuma bemoans lack of gender transformation

he struggle for women's empowerment, is not a new battle.  This is what Home Affairs Minister, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma told dignitaries last night's Women's Parliament gala dinner.

She said women in Parliament play a special role in making sure government implements policy promoting gender equality. Dlamini-Zuma bemoaned the lack of gender transformation, especially in the work-force.

The North West provincial government is providing a forum for women to improve their skills in Information Communications Technologies (ICT), and discuss a wide range of issues in the sector. The North West Women in ICT Indaba will take place at the Mmabatho convention centre Wednesday, where delegates will take part in practical training sessions, demonstrations and discussions on ICT with stakeholders in the sector.
