Women's Reservation Bill: K. Kavitha's appeal to political leaders creates national buzz

Amid the buzz in political circles that the Women's Reservation Bill may be tabled in the special session of Parliament beginning on September 19, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K. Kavitha’s appeal to all political parties has attracted national attention.
Kavitha, the daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, has sent letters to as many as 47 political parties urging them to unite and pass the long-awaited Bill, which seeks to reserve 33 per cent of seats in the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies for women.
