Advocacy 101 is an online course that starts with an overview of the policy-making process at the local and state legislative levels of government in the United States. The course then covers the basic forms of advocacy, messaging, base building, effective communications and creating issue campaigns. It is offered by the Political Institute for Women, which is an American education organization that offers political training for candidates, professionals and advocates.
