This presentation was give during the iKNOW Politics webinar on Women in Politics Use of ICTs held April 30th 2014 by Ms.Danya Bashir, a Libyan, author, activist and the MENA region Executive Director of Social Media for Change, an innovative NGO working to utilize social media to create positive democratic change. Danya also works with the Dubai School of Government on the Arab Social Media Report. She is a two-time winner of the Unite Arab Emirates Young Entrepreneurship Competition. She was also featured in ‘20 Empowering Women to be followed on Twitter,’ by Community of Women Entrepreneurs, and named by CNN, as an Agent of Change.
