Transforming the Mainstream: Gender in UNDP

This publication discusses the key issues in gender mainstreaming, learning from the efforts of UNDP and its partners in government and civil society organizations, as well as in bilateral and multilateral agencies. It operates on the premise that equality between women and men is central to the human development paradigm and explores issues relating to women in governance, gender and the Millennium Development Goals, gender and the environment, and women in crisis countries.
