Call for Application: Youth of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow

NDI has a call for applications for a new program designed for young women and community based organizations in North Africa (Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia). The “Youth of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow” program, which is due to launch in June 2009 and will conclude in the spring of 2010, centers on a series of gatherings and training for young women across the region, online networking, peer mentorship and action planning for community based projects initiated by the participants themselves. The gatherings will take place in Morocco and program will be conducted in English and Arabic. We are looking for highly motivated, self-starters with the interest and drive to become leaders in their communities. These women should be between the ages of 25 and 30 and already working within a community-based organization or able to demonstrate commitment from an organization to assist with implementing their ideas for a community project.
