Women’s Leadership in a Global Perspective: An Intensive Week-Long Training Workshop for Women in Politics & Public Policy

Meet women from around the world at this unique program offered in Boston by the Center for Women in Politics & Public Policy in partnership with the YWCA Boston. From 8 November to 14 November 2009, the Center for Women in Politics & Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts Boston is offering an Intensive Training Workshop on Women’s Leadership in Politics and Public Policy in a Global Perspective. This week-long workshop aims at enhancing public policy decision making knowledge, improving participants’ leadership skills and fostering the exchange of ideas and mutual understandings of female leaders from countries around the world. Through this initiative the Center, in partnership with the YWCA Boston, offers the
opportunity to female activists/leaders from many countries to come to Boston and to participate in this interactive, intensive training program. Using a “train the trainers” model and providing materials that participants can take back to their countries, participants will then be able to conduct similar trainings with women in their countries.
