The Comprehensive Peace Agreement of 2005 ended the Second Sudanese Civil War, but limited progress has been made since toward peace and democracy in Sudan. Ali Mohammed Ali will discuss the ongoing electoral reform efforts of SuGDE, a network of six Sudanese civil society organizations supporting credible elections and an inclusive political process. NDI democracy and human rights expert Keith Jennings will provide perspective and moderate the discussion.
