While almost two-thirds of young people in the U.S. support democracy, almost a third view it skeptically and are more inclined to accept authoritarianism, according to a new report on attitudes of youth in America after the 2024 elections.

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party strongly disagreed with the Constitutional Reform Commission on its proposal for a quota of 10 per cent parliamentary seats for young candidates.

The Fiji Women’s Rights Movement and the Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre have called for reforms to increase women’s participation in politics.

They outlined systemic barriers that limit women’s involvement in the political process.

During its joint oral submissions to the Fiji Law Reform Commission, FWRM Board Chair Akanisi Nabalarua and FWCC Manager Legal Services Miliana Tarai outlined several key recommendations to address these challenges and create a more inclusive political environment.

Ever since Korea was rocked by former president Yoon Suk-yeol’s botched martial law declaration on Dec. 3, 25-year-old Yu Seul-gi’s life has gone in an unexpected direction.

Yu joined the Korean Graduate Employee Union, a chapter of the Korean Public Service and Transport Workers’ Union under the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, in early January. Now she’s preparing to set up a local union shop at the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, better known as KAIST.
