History will be made in America on 3 January when a record number of women are sworn in as part of the 116th Congress.

In recent years all over the world, a new dimension of women in politics emerged . More and more women have now been entering into politics.

The low rate of female participation in politics compared to that of their male counter- parts in Nigeria creates a need to examine the situation in this study, “The role of broadcast media in mobilizing women for political participation in Nigeria”.

As the world becomes increasingly connected online, our reliance on social media platforms such as Twitter has also become increasingly important.

Gender parity is fundamental to whether and how economies and societies thrive.
