Beijing +20 National Review, Iran

Preparation of the National Report on Beijing+20 is a precious opportunity to both illustrate the
achievements in the Iranian women's and girls' empowerment and review the challenges.
Undoubtedly, the international mechanisms for promotion of women’s status, in particular the
Commission on the Status of Women, play an important role to carry out an objective and
unbiased assessment of the achievements as well as the challenges in implementation of the
Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
