Fathia Aden Mahabub is a Member of Parliament in Kenya. This interview was conducted during the Inter-parliamentary Union annual parliamentary day meeting, in cooperation with UN Women on 15 March 2016, on the sidelines of the sixtieth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). Fathia Aden Mahabub reflects on her experience in leaving her profession to run for office and on the opportunities global meetings such as the CSW bring to women in politics.
