The 10 best and worst countries for female public leaders – in charts

How much progress are women really making as public leaders? We’ve gleaned the statistics to find out where women are getting to the top, as both public officials and parliamentarians. According to the Inter-Parliamentary Union, as of 1 January 2015, there were 152 heads of state around the globe. Of those, just 10 (6.6%) were women.
