Conference Report 2011 | Women Forging a New Security: Ending Sexual Violence in Conflict

In May, 2011 over one hundred remarkable women from around the world met in Montebello, Canada to develop strategies to stop the use of rape as a weapon in conflict situations.  The discussions were rich, the stories shared were intense, and the strategies discussed were diverse and concrete.  Nobel Women’s Initiative has published a report detailing the flavour of those discussions and ‘next steps’ to advance the movement to end the scourge of sexual violence in conflict. - See more at: http://nobelwomensinitiative.org/2012/01/conference-report-women-forgin…
