Canada: Women don't constitute a silver bullet in candidates' arsenals

Not only did New Democrat gender equity provisions rule out some winnable male candidates in the last election, now they're causing heartburn at party HQ, where the rules dictate either the sitting male president or treasurer must vacate his place for a woman, if the next leader is a guy.
