Kuwait: 'Women in 7% of leadership positions, gender bias still exists'

28 Mar 2012 - Only 7 percent of leadership positions in Kuwait are held by women, a statistic not drastically different from the rest of the world, says former Kuwaiti minister, Masouma Al Mubarak.

She was talking in a symposium titled 'The Role of Decision Makers in Promoting Equitable Society' Monday, among a panel of powerful women like Aseel Al Awadhi, Dr Raymonde Folco, former Canadian MP and Dr Aman Sharani, head of Lebanese Women's Council in Lebanon.
