The American Ambassador to Nigeria Ms Robin Sanders has challenged Nigerian women politicians to stand up and devise means of tackling money politics in Nigeria’s political system, even as Nigerian women called for financial autonomy for Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Speaking yesterday in Abuja at a round table discussion on women in politics in Nigeria, organized by the United States Embassy and IRI, Sanders said women in other countries are faced with financial constraints, but have found ways of dealing with them.
