High-Level meeting of women with disabilities in political and public leadership: Towards Beijing+25

The 12th session of the Conference of States Parties to the CRPD (COSP) will take place from 11-13 June 2019 at the UN Headquarters in New York.

The United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Envoy on Disability and Accessibility and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) will co-host on 12 June the "High-Level Meeting of Women with Disabilities in Political and Public Leadership: Towards Beijing+25."

Speakers will include:

• H.E. Ms. María Fernanda Espinosa, President of the General Assembly
• H.E. Ambassador Mr. Luis Gallegos, President of the twelfth session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
• H.E. Ms. Gabriela Michetti, Vice-President of Argentina
• Ms. Åsa Regnér, Deputy Executive Director and Assistant Secretary-General, UN Women
