Meet women and politics expert, Mona Lena Krook

Mona Lena Krook is professor or political science and Chair of the Women & Politics Ph.D Program at Rutgers University. She has published widely on gender and political representation, particularly on electoral gender quotas and the impact of women in public office. Violence against women in politics won the 2022 Grawemeyer Award for ideas improving world order, given to "those who have taken on issues of world importance and presented viewpoints that could lead to a more just and peaceful world."
