NYSAC fall seminar: women's leadership roundtables

The New York State Association of Counties is organizing a seminar to connect and share experiences across regions and party lines, learn from one another, support other women in government, and acquire new leadership skills. This workshop is a positive environment in which to discuss the challenges, the responsibilities, and the opportunities of being a woman in county government.

All attendees will participate in roundtable discussions on the following topics, with these expert facilitators:

  • 1st Amendment 1st Vote: Engaging Young Women in Voting and the Political Process  

Facilitated by Dr. Karen King, Director, Erie County Commission on the Status of Women 

  • Leading in Your Community 

Facilitated by Angelicia A. Morris, Executive Director, Schenectady County Human Rights Commission 

  • Fundraising & Campaigning

Facilitated by Martha Robertson, Chair, Tompkins County Legislature 

  • Personal & Professional Growth for Women in Government

Facilitated by Marte Sauerbrey, Chair, Tioga County Legislature
