Upcoming events related to UN Women's flagship report 'Progress of the World's Women 2015-2016'

Within the framework of UN Women’s flagship report ‘Progress of the World’s Women 2015-2016. Transforming Economies, Realizing Rights’ (full document accessible here), UN Women is organizing jointly with NYU and CUNY a series of events. The first of these will take place tomorrow, 8 October, between 6:30pm and 8:00pm at NYU (245 Sullivan Street), and it will feature Laura Turquet, Dina Siddiqi, and Cynthia Rothschild, who will talk about ‘Inequality, Human Rights, and the Gender Gap in Global Perspective’ (further information here). On Wednesday 14 October, from 10am, a roundtable about the aforementioned report will take place at Conference Room 2 of UN’s Second Committee, featuring James Heintz, Ruth Nyambura, and Marty Chen (further information here). Finally, on 2 November, a keynote event on ‘Gender and Inequality: Work, Care, and Human Rights in Global Perspective’ will take place at CUNY Graduate Center (365 Fifth Av), featuring Shahra Razavi, Gita Sen, and Nancy Folbre (further information can be accessed here).
