WeLEAD Application Deadline

WeLEAD: Women bringing women into the power center, is a year-long political leadership training program for women age 21 to 25 interested in careers in politics and public service. WeLEAD develops participants' leadership skills including research, public-speaking, speech writing, and networking and introduces them to myriad political careers. The program highlights women who have had successful careers in politics as well as fosters mentoring relationships between board members and program participants.
To apply for the program, participants must fill out this application and attach a resume, two letters of
recommendation, and a one page personal statement on why they want to participate in the program and return it to
the Women and Politics Institute via e-mail at wandp@american.edu or via fax at (202) 885-1305. Deadline to apply is August 6, 2007 at 5:00pm. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by August 24, 2007.
