Feminization of the political space in Senegal from 2012 to the legislative elections of 2024: transformations, issues and new challenges.
This contribution analyses the effects of the application of the law on parity on the Senegalese political arena. By proposing a cartography of the arithmetical transformations of the spaces of power (National Assembly, governments, commissions, etc.), it analyses the dynamics of gender relations in the political space. In particular, she questions the limits of the law, the resistance it provokes and the challenges it faces with the arrival in power of PASTEF. The data used comes from field surveys and statistics collected by IFAN as part of the WPP programme.
