India: Gujarat NGO study finds women members of panchayats are ill-treated

As per a study conducted by NGO Navsarjan, elected women gram panchayat members from the marginalised and minority communities fight much more than just the elections.According to the report, they also fight for acceptance and basic rights, rather unlike someone representing the masses.
