Pakistan: Women MPs in Pakistan united to work for welfare of their community

6 Mar 2012 - Women Parliamentarians in Pakistan will not indulge in divisive politics when it comes to gender-related issues, Nafisa Shah, a member of the Pakistani National Assembly, said today.

"When it comes to women we will not do divisive politics. That is one thing we all agreed on in Parliament. Whichever party, whether it is a conservative, whether it is a liberal, whether it is a government party, we will unite...when it comes to women's agenda," Shah told an international seminar here.
