Turkey: Adopts New Law on Violence Against Women

9 March 2012 - Once considered top among world leaders in terms of providing women with significant rights, Turkey today confronts some harsh truths. Though widespread education is considered a success story, violence against women continues and the gender has yet to reach equal status with their male peers.
