Constitution building after conflict: External support to a sovereign process

This policy paper aims to contribute to an ongoing discussion of constitution building in two ways. The first is to expand this discussion beyond expert groups in order to include the views of practitioners, given that constitution building is a key South-South issue. Second, it is particularly targeted at providing external actors that want to offer meaningful assistance to constitution building with a better understanding of its political nuances and practical needs.
