Declaration on Political Harassment and Violence Against Women
The Declaration on Political Harassment and Violence Against Women was issued in the framework of the Convention of Belém do Pará, held in October 2015, highlights the urgency of dealing with the multiple manifestations of harassment and violence suffered by women on the political level, calling to prevent, address and sanction these crimes. The Declaration is supported by the Follow-up Mechanism to the Belém do Pará Convention (MESECVI), the Inter-American Commission of Women (CIM), and the Organization of American States, to which the former two belong.
