Forty-six female municipal candidates who head the list of their political parties and 78 female candidates who are incumbent members of parliament from all the political parties for the upcoming municipal and legislative elections yesterday in Yaounde received financial support from the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and the Family. The Minister of Women's Empowerment and the Family, Suzanne Mbomback said it is a solidarity move organised by the government to support all female candidates.

The female MPs, in the words of their leader, Hon. Monjowa Lifaka Emilia, Vice President of the CPDM Parliamentary Group, went to "present our vision of and proposal for a successful collaboration between us, considering the fact that we share the same finality, improving on the lot of Cameroonians, so that they can continue placing their confidence in the CPDM party we are part of".
