Last week women from different political parties met in Harare to, among other things, discuss women's participation in the forth-coming referendum and elections.
The Minister of Finance spoke at the national launch of the Gender Budgeting and Women's Empowerment Programme in Zimbabwe and said that gender budgeting is a key element for mainstreaming gender equality into government policies.
The Zanu-PF Women's League is pushing for the establishment of a women's youth league to champion issues of the young women and help recruit them into the party.
