iKNOW Politics and Its Partners Present: Getting Ahead: Testimonials from Women Political Leaders

As part of the 53rd session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), iKNOW Politics and its partners will present an event entitled “Getting Ahead: Testimonials from Women Political Leaders.” The event will bring together women politicians and their supporters from around and will host a panel discussion with prominent women leaders sharing their personal journey in politics.
At the event, iKNOW Politics will also premier its new film about women politicians. The film highlights the incredible stories of women leaders from Burundi, Canada, Ireland, Jordan, Namibia, Norway, Peru, the Philippines, South Africa and Uganda. The film will be available on the iKNOW Politics website shortly.The event will be held on March 4, 2009 from 1:15 pm -2:45 pm in ECOSOC Chamber at the UN Headquarters in New York. The event is open to everyone participating at the CSW meetings and having access to the UN Secretariat building.
