Global: High-level Event on Women in Development at the thirteenth session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD XIII)

 

The High-level Event on Women in Development is part of the activities of the thirteenth session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD XIII), which will be hosted by Doha.

The forum will focus on issues related to the empowerment of women in development. It seeks to set approaches based on the rules and values that the international community adopted to enhance gender equality and link economic and financial policies to social development. It will discuss initiatives, recommendations, and decisions aimed at surmounting the obstacles that hinder women empowerment in all areas, benefiting from Qatar's support for women issues and causes.
