Kuwait: Women should be given "bigger" chances in politics, say female activists

Kuwaiti female political activists unanimously agreed, on Thursday, that women should be given more opportunities to participate in the political life in the country.

Legislative lawyer and political activist, Najla Al-Naqqi, told KUNA that the "reasonable" number of female candidates in the 2012 National Assembly elections has failed to meet her expectation. She thought that this elections' participation would be "bigger." She called on the community to give Kuwaiti women a bigger opportunity to serve their country in all possible domains. She pointed out that the state embraces many qualified women who are worthy of doing greater good.
