Summary of the e-Discussion on the Role of Political Parties in Promoting Women in Politics

The e-Discussion on the Role of Political Parties in Promoting Women in Politics was launched on 13 August 2019 in Arabic, English, French and Spanish and ended on 3 September 2019. Political party leaders and members, women in politics, experts, practitioners, and researchers shared their experiences and knowledge on how political parties behave when it comes to women’s participation and representation and shared good practices and recommendations that political parties could adopt for greater inclusion and representativity. Sixteen contributions from the Americas, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa were received.
