Zimbabwe: Women MPs threaten disowning new draft

16 April 2012 - Women Parliamentarians have threatened to disown a draft constitution that does not enshrine womens rights.
Chairperson of the Womens Parliamentary Caucus, Biata Nyamupinga, on Friday said women had articulated 17 thematic areas they wanted included in the new constitution and threatened to disown the draft if the constitution-making body, Copac, snubbed them on the submissions.
