At an international conference on the new ways to overcome gender stereotypes that took place in Prague within the Czech Republic's EU presidency Kocab said stereotypes in people's thinking complicates the position of women in the Czech Republic. Kocab said that he would push for the passage of an amendment to the election law under which each three candidates on the parties' lists of candidates would have to contain at least one women, which would help achieve the one-third women's participation in politics.
