New poll places Bachelet two points higher at 58 percent approval

Source:

A new Adimark poll — released on Thursday — shows President Michelle Bachelet’s approval rating at 58 percent, a two point increase from May and a rating higher than her government’s overall approval.Chile’s strong but ultimately tragic stint at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil kept the country optimistic and likely helped the president, Adimark said.

The poll indicates that 85 percent of Chileans respect Bachelet and 73 percent find her credible. Bachelet did, however, see a four point drop from last month when it comes to her ability to solve the country’s problems.
