An aspirant for the position of the PDP deputy national chairman, Senator Stella Omu said there is need for political parties in the country to improve the lives of women at the grassroots and other vulnerable groups.
Speaking yesterday at an event organized to mark this year's International Women's Day, she said the theme of this year's celebration. "Ending poverty and ignorance among rural women, and connecting girls to secure the future" is apt as a lot still needs to be done for the advancement and empowerment of women and girls.
