4 Mar, 2012 — PRESIDENT Jakaya Kikwete will flag off a special team of delegates from 75 countries on a Kilimanjaro mountain climbing expedition on Monday.
The expedition is a protest gesture in support of the fight against "violence on women and girls." An official statement from the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Children, Ms Marcel Katemba, said on Saturday that President Kikwete will be seeing off the special trek dubbed; "Speak out, Climb up!" from the Marangu Hotel in Moshi, on Monday.
