Few feminist policies have been campaign talking points during the election.

On Sunday, the French head to the polls to elect their next president. After the first round two weeks ago, there are two candidates on the ballot: centrist President Emmanuel Macron and far-right challenger Marine Le Pen.

Young women and gender diverse people are less likely to run for office or join a political party today, than they were 12 months ago.

That’s the explosive finding of new research from a leading Australian social enterprise, Raise Our Voice Australia which surveyed almost 500 Australian women and gender diverse people under the age of 30, seeking their views on the state of politics in the country today.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 13 April, the second forum on the topic "The role of women parliamentarians in the development of Uzbekistan" was held in the capital. It was attended by senators and deputies, deputies of local Kengashes, members of the Youth Parliament, senior officials of state bodies and public organizations, representatives of international organizations and the media.

The commission rescinded the decision after the political parties protested against the provision stating that it is against existing laws.

The Election Commission has revoked a provision that mentioned that a political party contesting for only the post of either chief or deputy chief of a municipal should compulsorily field a woman candidate.

The Mauritanian presidency announced the formation of a new government of 25 ministers headed by Prime Minister Mohamed Ould Bilal.
