Syria, once a cradle of civilization, a country known for its rich history, the kindness and hospitality of its people and unmistaken beauty, continues to be blighted by violent conflict and terrorism. The brutal conflict, now in its fifth year, has taken its’ toll on the Syrian people.

In a field where the meaningful participation of women is often missing, this program seeks to increase the participation of women in the movement to promote the sustainable management of extractives for the public good.

Out of 32 female members of Israel's parliament, called the Knesset, 28 say they have been sexually harassed or assaulted, and at least two say those experiences occurred in the Knesset itself, according to a new survey by an Israeli television channel.
