In light of the significance of the recent report, Sexism, harassment and violence against women in parliaments in Africa, the IPU commissioned a talented artist to help visually portray the extent of this scourge in legislatures across the continent.

ANC chief whip Pemmy Majodina has confirmed that she accepted an apology from a fellow member of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP), Djibril War, the Senegal representative.

War is alleged to have assaulted her during Monday's clashes in the parliamentary session.

The year 2020 began on a high note for the African Women Leaders Network (AWLN).
